Driving Directions
By car, Aspen is 3.5 hours (220 miles) west of Denver through scenic Glenwood Canyon on I-70. In the summer, take the scenic route via Highway 82 over the breathtaking Independence Pass. From Grand Junction, Aspen is an easy 2.5-hour drive.
From Aspen Airport
- Turn right on Highway 82.
- Travel for approximately 3 miles.
- The Inn at Aspen will be on the right-hand side about 1 mile past the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport.
From Denver and Eagle Airport
Aspen is 220 miles or 4 hours from Denver.- Take I-70 west toward Glenwood Springs and travel for 168 miles.
- Take Exit #116 for Highway 82 to Aspen. Aspen is a straight shot, 40 miles south from Glenwood Springs.
- The Inn at Aspen will be on the right-hand side about 1 mile past the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport.
From Denver via Independence Pass — Summer only
Scenic route, approximately 4.5 hours- Travel west on I-70 toward Glenwood Springs for approx. 112 miles.
- Take Exit #171 to Highway 24 East toward Minturn. Follow US-24 E approx. 47 miles.
- Turn right onto Highway 82 West over Independence Pass into Aspen. This route is open only during warm-weather months, typically May 31 to October 31.
- Travel approximately two miles out of Aspen. The Inn at Aspen will be on the left-hand side. Buttermilk Ski Resort is on the back side of the hotel.
From Grand Junction
Approximately 2 hours- Travel east on I-70 toward Glenwood Springs for approx. 80 miles.
- Take Exit #116 for Highway 82 to Aspen. Aspen is a straight shot, 40 miles south from Glenwood Springs.
- The Inn at Aspen will be on the right-hand side about 1 mile past the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport.
