Guided Fly Fishing Experience
Whether you have never held a rod before and think flies are annoying insects, or you would like a refresher, these guides will have you fishing in no time. Learn to cast and tie fishing knots while enjoying the river and beautiful weather. Trips usually last 2 to 3 hours.
A great introductory trip, beginners can practice skills the guides will show them at the beginning of the trip. For advanced anglers, a half-day fishing trip offers a chance to enjoy great fishing on gorgeous parts of the river. Usually 4 to 5 hours.
These day-long trips will take you to some of the premier fishing spots in the area. The Colorado, South Platte, Arkansas, Williams Fork, Eagle and Blue Rivers are a few of the rivers you may fish. It is not uncommon to catch big fish on these rivers—some over 20 inches! The drives are as scenic as they get, and with the whole day you will have plenty of time to practice your new-found skills. As an experienced angler you will get to fish to your heart's content all day long.
A full-day float trip on the Colorado River is a one-of-kind experience. The entire float trip, you'll be surrounded by such spectacular views, you may find yourself distracted from just fishing. This is a great way to see some of the more unusual wild trout while seeing parts of the river wouldn't otherwise have seen.
Overnight Float Trips: 2 days
On the overnight float trip, after your day floating and fishing the river, you boat to the campsite, wade-fish for the evening catch, and enjoy a gourmet dinner around the campfire. The following morning, you'll wake to the crisp Colorado air and fish from your tent while coffee brews and a gourmet breakfast waits for you. The fishing, food and scenery make this trip an adventure of a lifetime.
Fish Private Waters:
There are many private, pristine areas available to fish around the Breckenridge area with many of them boasting trophy-sized fish. Private half- and full-day trips are available, and cost varies by location. Make your reservations at least two weeks in advance.
Whether you spend a half-day or full, you'll discover legendary fishing on the lakes surrounding Breckenridge. Sit back in the boat, but be ready for action at any minute with more than one hook up at the same time.
