Steamboat Springs Weather
Steamboat Springs receives an average snowfall of 343" annually. Such abundant snowfall in the Steamboat Ski Area results from the resort's location within the Park Range, which is the first significant barrier in the Northern Colorado Rockies to storms arriving from the Pacific. These storms produce some of the lightest, driest, fluffiest snow in the world, fondly referred to as Champagne Powder® snow.
