Enjoyed every moment of our stay! Comfy beds/pillows, beautiful view, plenty of amenities , convenient location. The room was so cozy and complete with everything — washer/dryer , boot dryer, plenty of coat hooks, games, kitchen supplies, etc. Would love to stay again and highly recommend.

Things to do in Vail, CO

With fun for the whole family in every season, you can plan a chock-full itinerary or take your time exploring this scenic wonderland.

Vail Mountain Resort

Constructed in 1962, Vail Mountain Resort is one of Colorado's largest mountain resorts, with over 5,000 skiable acres to enjoy. Whether you're a professional skier (two Olympic medalists were trained on these slopes) or have never seen snow before, Vail Mountain Resort welcomes you. Advanced athletes will love the powdery, challenging bowls, and park enthusiasts both big and small will want to make sure to try out one of the three terrain parks.

Book a group or a private lesson at the Vail Ski and Snowboard School, which has lessons geared for all levels and ages. The Resort even offers child care and adaptive ski programs.

Perhaps you'd like to try something different? How about a ski bike lesson, or a go on the tubing hill? Little snow bunnies will love the kids snowmobile track. Take lessons in specialty sports like snowshoeing or Nordic skiing, or forgo the snow all together for a restorative spa day.

Vail Village

The town of Vail was built to accommodate the mountain athlete and combines a rich, upscale vibe with a European motif. Due to the sheer size of the mountain, Vail was split into three main base villages: Vail Village, Lionshead, and Golden Peak. These Bavarian-style villages have heated pedestrian streets and a free bus system, exuding an Old World charm dressed to the nines in elegance.

Each village hosts diverse boutiques and apres-ski dining, from sandwich shops to five-star cuisine heralded in national magazines. Sunny pub decks invite you to share a midday beer, while dance clubs, live music, and piano and karaoke bars bring the village to life once the sun sets. But if you don't feel like going out on the town, never fear: Most of our Vail rentals have their own fully-equipped kitchens for quiet meals in.

What is the best month to go to Vail?

If you’re looking for prime skiing conditions, plan your Vail vacation for sometime between December and March. December and January typically see the most snowfall of the year. For a summer trip, Vail travel peaks from June to September. The shoulder season in autumn is another great time to visit Vail, when you can enjoy fewer crowds and stunning fall foliage.
