Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the water at the James Farm Ecological Preserve in Ocean View. One-hour sunset paddle offered exclusively to Sea Colony teens. Weather permitting.
Daily guest speakers, swimming and crafts. Child must bring a bathing suit, towel and have sunscreen applied. Lunch is not provided (bring a bag lunch). Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Activities include tag, sports, parachutes and earth balls. Children should wear loose comfortable clothes, athletic shoes and bring a water bottle. Instructor Carol Hartnett is a certified health and physical education teacher at Worcester Preparatory School and coach’s soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Games, movies (rated G or PG), crafts, dinner and more. Popcorn and drinks are provided. Local restaurants provide the dinners. Activities vary. Children are encouraged to wear their PJs, bring a blanket and a pillow. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. (Register by 3 p.m. each dayfor dinner order.)
Group Swim Lessons*
Mondays-Thursdays, 6/18-8/23 - Ages: 3-5, 9-9:25 a.m. Ages 6-9, 9:30-9:55 a.m.
Two locations: Freeman Fitness Center (6/18-8/23) & Ocean Pool 5 (6/25-8/23)
Group swim lessons are for the beginner and intermediate ability levels. Guardian supervision required. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Beach safety, equipment instruction, CPR and First Aid awareness. Activities at Ocean Pool 3, on the beach and in the ocean. Instructor: John Zirkel. Participants will receive a T-shirt, visor, sunscreen, USLA membership, optional participation in local and national competitions and program completion certificate. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Mondays & Wednesdays, 6/11-8/29 - 7-8 p.m.
Edgewater Promenade (In case of inclement weather will be held in the Edgewater Community Room).
Ages: All ages
Note: No Bingo on July 4.
Prizes will be awarded to all winners.
Learn how to be safe at the beach and in the pool areas while you are on vacation. Guardian supervision required.
Includes drills, skills and games.
Participants must enter their creation with the activities staff that can be found walking between lifeguard stands 3 & 5. They will receive a popsicle stick with a number. Judging begins at noon, unless you request judging earlier. Awards ceremony is prior to the bonfire that night at 6:30 p.m. Bring your popsicle stick to the bonfire to enter a door prize raffle.
Award ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. with bonfire to follow at 7 p.m. Marshmallows and dowel rods are provided. Entertainment too.
Children ages 4-12 (broken down into age groups) swim relays. All swimmers will receive a ribbon. Sixty dollars ($60) in change will be put in the pool, along with one penny with a hole in the middle. The lucky winner who finds the penny with the hole will receive a prize. Participants get to keep all the money they find. Guardian supervision required.
Dodge Ball Mania
Wednesdays & Thursdays, 6/20-8/23 - 3:15-5:15 p.m.
Freeman Fitness Center
Ages: 5-10 (Wednesdays, 3:15-4:15 p.m.), 6-16 (Wednesdays, 4:15-5:15 p.m.) & 6-16 (Thursdays, 4:15-5:15)
One hour of non-stop dodge ball games using gurdie balls.
A new take on hockey using 4 "gator skin" balls and pool noodles as sticks. This fast-paced game never stops.
Pick up and full court games. Sneakers are required. Guardian supervision is not required.
Enjoy a friendly game of volleyball on the beach. Bring a team of 6-8 or join a team when you get there.
Come out and observe our Sea Colony Lifeguards perform drills and water rescues. Guardian supervision required.
