CHICAGO, one of Broadway’s most popular musicals of all time, is set in the 1920s in the then, violence-drunken Chicago.

One of the show's main characters, vaudville singer Velma Kelly, has just shot her husband after discovering his affair with her sister. Jealous of Kelly's newfound celebrity status, her rival singer, Roxie Hart, follows in her footsteps, murdering her conniving lover. These two jail-birds begin a fierce competition to win the public's attention and the allegiance of their no-good, filthy attorney.
