Great Week at the Palms 503
Our 3rd trip to Ft. Walton. The Palms was my favorit so far. Loved the covered parking. I liked that this facility was one of the smaller ones, which equalled less people. Beach was very nice and family oriented. The Tom Thumb was in walking distance which was great when we needed bread, etc. and didn't feel like driving to the grocery store. Would defintely go back!!

Needs improvement
The double beds in master did not work for my family. The lack of seating in the livingroom posed problems also. The dryer did not dry the clothes unless you ran it several times. The balcony furniture was molded and we really hated to sit on it. This was my Mother's first trip in years and we had to expeience people doing drugs on the boardwalk and underneath us. Elevators were very very hot and actually went out on our day of departure(five flights of stairs!).

Pretty Good
I probably would have enjoyed this property even more if it hadn't had rained and stormed our entire trip. We have been visiting Fort Walton Beach for 6 years and this is the first rain out we've had.
The Palms is a small unit (which is good) but the pool is in a really bad location. It is on the side of the condo and with a light/telephone pole that looked to be overloaded with wires and leaning toward the pool. Needless to say we did not use the pool very much.
We will not be staying in Palms again because of this hazard.

Great Place!
We loved The Palm. It is a small place that was very clean and very close to the beach!
