Northwest Florida Beach Conditions
The collection of beach communities and barrier islands that stretch from Pensacola to Panama City are collectively known as Northwest Florida's Emerald Coast. Each year millions of sun seekers flock to the quartz-derived, astonishingly white shores to soak up the above-average days of sunshine that Florida enjoys and to lay claim to their spot on “the world’s most beautiful beaches.”
As with any natural wonder, local wildlife and weather patterns play a part in adding to the beauty of the region. They also call for safety awareness on the part of visitors. Most beaches along the Emerald Coast share the same flag colors, but as locals say “know before you go.”
