Questions About the Property
Internet available and what type (high speed or wifi)?
Internet access varies from property to property and can also vary from unit to unit. Our reservation agents will be able to tell you at time of booking, and you can also often find this information by exploring our website...just select "Internet Available" from within the Phone/Internet section of the Advanced Search.
Is check in on site?
A large number of our rental units will check in through a centralized location in the area the property is located. We also have on site front desks and check-in at other properties and the larger resorts and condominiums. You will be able to view your check-in location online by clicking on the "Map" tab when on a unit page; this information will be shown on your confirmation letter.
What amenities are there, such as pools, etc?
The larger a property or resort is, the more likely it is to have more amenities and benefits like multiple pools. Utilize the Advanced Search on our website, and filter your results using the Pool/Hot Tub/Sauna options.
How close to the beach is it?
All of our locations are either directly on the beach or across a street from the beach and providing access. Some properties are closer than others, but all are close enough to simply walk to the beach. Utilize the Advanced Search on our website, and filter your results using the Proximity options.
Are there complimentary services?
ResortQuest offers all of our guest’s complimentary DVD rentals during their stay. Additionally, some of our locations come with beach service set-ups included.
Does it have beach chairs and umbrellas?
This varies from property to property. Beach service set-up is included at some of our properties, and beach chair vendors offering rentals can be found along all of our beaches for guests who are staying at a property that does not provide the service.
Is there parking for motorcycles, trailers, and RVs?
Parking is limited, especially during the spring & summer seasons. Additionally, some of the property Home Owner Associations have restrictions on the type and size of vehicles allowed year round. Your reservation agent will be able to inform you the parking options at the time of booking.
Questions About the Units
What is the view?
Our website pages and our reservation agents will be able to provide all the information you need to know about the views from each unit. Utilize the Advanced Search on our website, and filter your results using the Views options.
Are the rental units fully equipped & furnished?
Yes, all of our units are fully furnished and include the dinnerware, cookware and bedding/linens to accommodate the number of people the unit will sleep.
Do you provide/replace toilet paper, trash bags, soap?
A complimentary initial supply will be in the unit. However, we recommend bringing or planning to shop for more as needed while you are vacationing here.
Is daily maid service included?
Unlike hotels, our full size condo apartments and vacation homes are considered your home away from home while on vacation. Your unit is cleaned prior to arrival and after departure. Daily cleaning is available in some units for an additional fee.
Are handicapped units available?
Yes. Our website will allow you to customize your search to find handicapped accommodations by selecting Accessibility options within the Advanced Search.
Does the unit have a rating?
We do not rate the units, but rather let the pictures tell the story. Each unit is individually decorated and furnished, and provides varying amenities. We encourage you to browse our website to narrow down the type of unit you are seeking, then contact one of our reservation agents who can then help you find more options or help you book a vacation rental.
How many TV’s, and what kind are they?
This varies from unit to unit since they are all individually owned and decorated. We have been successful in encouraging the owners to keep their units updated and as such most units do have updated electronics to include flat screen TV’s. Explore our website to find photos that will allow you to pick a unit that meets your expectations...just click on the "Details" tab when on a unit page.
Does it have a washer/dryer?
All of our locations either have washers and dryers in the unit or have laundry facilities onsite. You can utilize the Interior Features section of the Advanced Search to identify these units.
Questions About the Area
Will we need a rental car if we are flying in?
In addition to the beaches, there is much to do in our areas such as shopping, golfing, fishing and sightseeing. While some public transportation is available, you will not find it to be as widespread as metropolitan areas. While renting a car is not necessary, we do recommend it to fully enjoy all the area has to offer.
Can we make golf tee times?
We do not provide that service ourselves but we can recommend services that do, or we can help you find individual golf courses for you to contact.
Can I rent jet skis or boats in the area?
Water sports vendors are easy to find in any of our beach destinations. The front desk where you check in is also a great resource for businesses that provide water sport equipment rentals in the area.
What airports serve the Northwest Florida area?
The three major airports that service our areas are Pensacola International Airport (PNS) in Pensacola, Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS) just north of Fort Walton Beach and Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) in Panama City.
Can I get directions to the check in office?
Your confirmation will include directions to the check in location, and you can also find precise directions to check-in sites on our website.
Top Questions About the Rental Policies
How much money do I need to put down?
At the time of booking a credit card advance payment equivalent to twenty percent (20%) of your total stay is required, plus travel insurance, if purchased. The optional travel insurance fee provides you with protection from unexpected or unforeseen events. The advance payment is due when your reservation is made. If payment is being mailed in, and we do not receive it within 7 days, the reservation will be cancelled.
Can we pay upon arrival?
Certain units and most homes require final payment to be received no later than 60-120 days prior to arrival. All other locations will require final payment no later than 30 days prior to arrival. The credit card given at time of booking will be used to charge the final payment prior to arrival. In the event of cancellation for the units requiring final payment 60-120 days prior to arrival, final payment is non-refundable unless the stay is re-booked or the renter has purchased travel vacation protection insurance and the reason for canceling is covered by insurance.
Can a reservation be held at no charge?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. All reservations must be secured and confirmed at the time of booking with a major card.
Why can't I make payments online?
Our system is currently only set up to take online payments at the time of booking. We will be happy to take additional payments via the phone prior to final payment due date.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation will result in a loss equal to the advance payment made (20% of the total due). Guests covered under ResortQuest’s recommended travel insurance are exempt from this loss if the reason for cancellation is covered under the travel insurance. The travel insurance fee is non-refundable. Cancellations on the day of arrival or early departures after check-in will result in a 100% loss of amount of the rent.
Can we check-in early or check out late?
Check-in time is after 4 p.m.; check-out time is before 10 a.m. Due to our high standards for cleanliness, our units are sometimes not ready for check-in promptly at 4 pm. We ask for your patience and suggest that you have alternate plans available between 4 and 6 p.m. in case the unit is not yet ready.
What if a Hurricane comes?
Concerned about a hurricane, severe weather or natural disaster affecting your vacation? It's always a good idea to buy Vacation Rental Insurance when you book your trip so your vacation investment is protected if Mother Nature throws you a curveball. ResortQuest partners with Red Sky Travel Insurance to offer our guests Vacation Rental Insurance Protection. We highly recommend this coverage especially during the hurricane season.
How old do I have to be to stay with you?
The individual making the reservation must be 25 years of age or older and must occupy the rental property the entire term of the reservation. Singles under 25 years of age are prohibited unless accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Restrictions may apply regarding the number of people that may accompany a parent or legal guardian. Additional restrictions may apply during the spring break vacation period. Chaperoned groups are prohibited unless prior approval is given by the ResortQuest Group Sales Department.
Can my kids bring their friend(s) to stay with us?
Certainly, however we do not allow chaperoned groups. If you have a number of additional minors of whom you are not the parent or legal guardian, please inform your reservation agent. Additionally, during the spring break periods you must have 1 adult or legal guarding for every 2 minors.
Can I bring my pets?
We know you love your pets, but pets are only permitted in select pet-friendly properties with advance reservations and a non-refundable pet fee. Of course, an exception can be made for service animals. You must inform our reservations center or the check in location directly prior to arrival if you intend to bring a pet to an eligible unit.
