Mainland Greece is the heart of the country and broken into five main areas: Athens; the Peloponnese in the south; Central Greece (which includes Thessaly); Western Greece (including Epirus); and Macedonia and Thrace to the north.
Athens, of course, is the cradle of civilization and the site of most must-see destinations in the country. The Acropolis and its principal buildings, including the Propylaia, Temple of Athena and the Parthenon, are where culture began and among the most photographed constructions in the world. Continue your travels around the city and you find the relics and ruins of kings, emperors and rulers from every epoch.
The Peleponnese offers much of the artistry, history and elegance of Athens with less crowding and commercialism. It is the region of Olympia - where the torch officially begins its journey every four years - as well as the ancient cities of Mycenae and Pylos. It is also known for its medieval ruins, towers and castles, as well as secluded areas where you can catch your breath. Thessaly, which borders on the Aegean, is famous for its natural beauty and its seasonal charm, with beach life in summer and skiing in winter. The stone houses and mansions of Epirus inspire, while Macedonia is home to Mount Olympus as well as plenty of natural splendor and Thrace offers pristine nature in its bays and waterways.
We offer resort condominiums and apartments - perfect for the location, occasion and mood of any traveler.
