Let the beauty of the marsh and the distant sounds of the ocean enchant you during your stay in this four bedroom, four-and-a-half bath home situated behind the second security gate at Vanderhorst Plantation. Looking out of the windows of this home onto the marsh is like looking at an oil painting changing subtly throughout the days and seasons. Spartina grass, pluff mud, and tidal marsh bring birds of every variety to your view, including herons, osprey, and on special occasions, bald eagles. Dolphin swim up this tidal creek daily and it is not uncommon to see them chasing fish onto the creek banks for a dolphin buffet in the early mornings or late afternoons. The shared dock allows for close-to-nature experiences, crabbing, and access for hand-launched jonboats or kayaks (not provided). This home's architecture is reminiscent of a mountain lodge with rustic exposed beams, but has all the luxury features one would expect of this distinct island home. There are hardwood floors throughout, Corian countertops, new stainless steel appliances, a wet bar and additional icemaker, a 46-inch plasma television in the living room and televisions in each bedroom, as well as wireless internet. This home has bedding for eight guests, but will allow up to ten.



First Floor: The spacious living area centers around the large stone fireplace. Sisal area rugs cover pine flooring, which echoes the golden tones of the pine paneling on the walls and ceiling, as well as the custom cabinetry built around the hearth. The open floor plan segues into the dining area, where the table can accommodate up to eight guests. The kitchen has lovely tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances, as well as a breakfast bar which seats up to three guests. There is a powder room just off the kitchen. There is an open deck for grilling, a large screened porch off of the living room (there are two - the other is off of master bedroom) and large laundry/mud room. The master suite is furnished with a king bed, and has a private seating area with expansive marsh views, access to a screened porch, and its own TV with expanded tier cable. There is large bathroom with double vanities, jetted tub and separate shower. The second bedroom on this floor has two twin beds with, its own TV and marsh views, and a private bathroom.



Second Floor: The queen bedroom has marsh views, television, and private bathroom. The fourth bedroom is furnished with two twin beds, and has a TV, private bathroom, and distant ocean views over the marsh.



Each home includes free parking, screened porch or deck, initial supply of linens and towels, washer and dryer, color cable TV, air conditioning, starter supply of paper products and detergents, local telephone service, 24-hour security in a gated community.
