Dollywood Theme Park

Dollywood theme park has been hailed as the #1 tourist attraction in Tennessee. Boasting more than 40 rides and attractions—from thrilling coasters to kiddie rides to festivals, entertainment and crafts—Dollywood is renowned as a world-class family-friendly attraction.

Dollywood introduced the Wild Eagle® wing coaster in 2012. The first coaster of its kind in America, the Wild Eagle takes riders on a flight through upside-down loops 21 stories high, with nothing above their heads or below their feet except Smoky Mountain sky. The Thunderhead® wooden coaster, which features a 100-foot drop and speeds up to 55mph, was voted "Best Wooden Coaster in the World" two years in a row in the 2005 and 2006 Golden Ticket Awards presented by Amusement Today. The Tennessee Tornado roller coaster reaches 70 mpg as it shoots riders around three spiraling loops and down a 128-foot drop into a mine shaft tunnel.

Drawing on the experiences of Dolly Parton's own childhood in the Smoky Mountains, Dollywood's atmosphere of authenticity sets it apart from other theme parks in the US. The Pigeon Forge theme park features master craftsmen and artisans practiced in the centuries-old traditions of blacksmithing, glass blowing, wood carving and candle making. In fact, Dollywood's Valley Carriage Works, one of the few remaining working wagon shops in the country, sells authentic handmade buckboard wagons, doctor's buggies, specialty carriages and sleighs.
