France Holidays

  • France holidays offer sun bathing on Mediterranean shores, snow skiing in The Alps, admiring masterpieces at the Louvre, and wine tasting throughout the country. There are many outdoor activities to pursue when you travel to France.

Each of France’s 11 diverse wine regions yields a unique product. The Bordeaux region produces one-third of all the fine wines in France, while the world’s most famous brandy comes from the rural town of Cognac. The region of Burgundy claims more A.O.C. wines—France’s highest quality classification for wine—than any other area of the country. And, the Champagne region of France is the only place in the world that can legitimately call its sparkling wine “Champagne.”

The capital city of Paris boasts some of the most famous French landmarks. These historic monuments include Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, which is said to be the most photographed landmark in the world.

    Central France

Medieval meets Mediterranean in the region of Drome, where castles and villages mingle with vineyards and olive groves. The national park in Massif Central offers some of the finest trails in France, while thrill seekers find adventure river-rafting through the Ardeche Gorge.

    Northern France

From Champagne to Burgundy, the spirit of Northern France lies in the vineyards of wine country. A fairytale setting replete with castles and chateaux, the Loire Valley is the "Garden of France." And, the iconic city of Paris boasts the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre.

    Southern France

The French Riviera along the Mediterranean has long been a playground for the rich and the royal. Castles, cathedrals and myriad chateaux lend a romantic air to the Dordogne, while the verdant pastoral landscapes of Provence portray an idyllic rural life in the French countryside.
