Palm Springs Golf

World-famous Palm Springs is one of the most popular golf vacation destinations in the U.S. More than 130 area golf courses, great weather and natural beauty combine to make Palm Springs and Palm Desert a top destination for golf vacations. Many great golf courses in the City of Palm Springs are open to the public at reasonable rates. Before going out to play a round of golf in Palm Springs, golfers will want to check the calendar first. In the winter months from December through February, the temperatures are cool with the highs rarely getting out of the seventies. Players can don a light jacket or sweater, especially if playing in the morning. Play in the summer is a different story. During June through September in the Palm Springs area, high temperatures average between 102 and 106 degrees F. Players should avoid the mid-day sun, if possible, apply sun-screen, wear a hat with a broad rim and put on loose fitting clothing, and drink lots of water! Also, it is important to note that from mid-September through mid-November the golf courses in the area will close for approximately 4 weeks for overseeding. Not all of the 130 courses in the Desert close at exactly the same time, so there is always plenty of world-class golf to be played! -->
