Very upscale beach and resort area

Loved this place so much we already decided to come back next year! Wild dunes is a beautiful secluded gated area. Ship watch has a very nice pool and the kids loved the playground. The condo was immaculate and everything worked well. Breathtaking views from the patio. And Charleston, by far my favorite historical destination ever! So many things to see! Don't miss local restaurants acme low country and Long Island cafe for superb seafood!

Beautiful spot to have fun and relax!

Our family loves Wild Dunes but this location is top-notch! Great view of beach from large, covered balcony as well as quick walk to the ocean! This condo is updated, well decorated, perfect size for 5 without use of sofa bed, and kitchen was fully equipped to cook anything you would want... Washer/Dryer is nice touch --clean and in working condition. TVs and Internet worked once reset after storms which is to be expected. Outside beach closet is so useful, trash bin on floor, elevator and covered parking available makes this an excellent choice for us again and others!!

We absolutely loved it! The view and location were perfect! We had a view of the beach every day and were steps away! So easy! We walked around the community, visited restaurants, and rode wave runners and a Banana boat all nearby! We also visited the USS Yorktown, historic Charleston, and the angel oak! I recommend this beautiful spacious condo to anyone. The owners were attentive, we had easy access to the room and the pool! Enjoy!

Shipwatch A303 - Nice, Owner was very helpful with questions

We enjoyed our stay at Shipwatch in Wild Dunes. The owner was extremely easy to deal with and answered questions promptly. The rental contract was handled through Wyndham Vacations once we agreed with the owner on a price. This was our first trip to Isle of Palms and we really enjoyed being in Wild Dunes. We have two girls, ages 6 and 2 and we felt very comfortable being in a gated community with walking trails and fabulous beach access. Our unit had the best view of the beach as there are large trees in front of Shipwatch. Fortunately, our view was unobstructed as we were above the path to the beach, so there were no trees. The pool at Shipwatch is very nice and the beach/pool were not very crowded during our stay the week of June 1 even though Shipwatch looked full. Our unit was nice and extremely well stocked with kitchen supplies. The appliances all seemed relatively new and the kitchen island helped provide extra space for meal preparation. A couple of downsides of the unit are the washer/dryer is a stackable unit. Things take forever to dry in these units. Another downside is that the complex does not have gas grills. This was a real let down as we love to grill on vacation. It appeared that homes in Wild Dunes had grills but the Condo complexes on the beach did not. This is the first time we have ever stayed at a condo on the beach and were not able to grill. Another downside was that one of the chairs in the family room seemed wet and it never dried out. Last downside is that the parking is extremely hard to navigate on the ground level of the complex. If you have a large vehicle I would suggest parking it outside. I did great all week until the day we left when I scraped one of the posts going out. There were posts everywhere and they are hard to avoid in a van or SUV. There is parking outside. I would suggest using that.
