Very nicely decorated! Very beachy!

The owner of this condo pumped a good deal of money into updating this unit. I stayed in this unit over Easter weekend with my husband and then stayed in the unit while I had a business meeting in downtown Charleston. It was great to come back at night and relax in a beach front unit. I got to walk on the beach at night. Unlike the Jersey Shore which gets quite loud at night, there is a nice class of people who stay in this building and you can get a good night's sleep. We plan to rent the unit again.

Nice Overall

Overall, this was a really nice villa. The view of the ocean was beautiful and our room was only a short walk to the beach. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't like to climb a lot of steps because there are quite a few to get to the villa.

Practical and clean, but Wifi imperfect.

Unit is quite small but we were at maximum capacity (5 people). Served its purpose. Kitchen and bathroom were fine. Only significant downside was that Wifi did not work.

342C Isle of Palms

Not very clean; Refrigerator did not work, only had small office-size refrigerator as replacement. I was not satisfied, and left a day early.

Beautiful sea view but didn't meet expectations

While the condo was clean, nicely decorated and well equipped, there was no where on the Wyndham sight that said there was no elevator, climbing stairs with bad knees was a problem for my husband. Also, there was a Murphy bed that we did not realize was broken until we needed it for an extra guest. Finally the mattress in the bedroom had seen better days. If you want to get a better view of the property go to Sea Cabins, Isle of Palms not Wyndham Vacation Rentals.

R&R at its Best!

This was an amazing rental! The management co. checkin was efficient and quick. Light and bright. The bathroom is a shower that is tiled beautifully. It is luxurious to take a shower in there. And... there is a small foot rest to shave your legs at. Everything has been thought of. All new linens-There is a regular bedroom off the bathroom and a small bunk bed in the hall that is good for a kid or adult in a pinch. There is a murphy bed in the living room (pull down from the wall, like in the movies). It is a real queen sized mattress (also new), so you don't have to sleep on a sofa bed mattress and people can still be up sitting on the sofa while others lounge in bed, watching TV. And the view of the beach from the bed is great, too. The balcony off the living room has a spectacular view of the pier and beach. I'm really not a sand person. I loved sitting there, hearing and seeing the beach while drinking an ice cold pop and reading a book in the shade. There was also a fresh water pool to lounge around but there is not a lot of shade there. The area is replete with restaurants so we didn't cook much, although there was everything you needed there. A small stove and dishwasher, very cute and gave you alot more counter space. There was also an island eating area. Grills outside. The place is stocked with dishwasher soap, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, paper plates, napkins, as well as all the normal kitchen dishes/supplies, etc. Just thought it was nice that everything has been thought of. If you want to leave the island, going to Mt. Pleasant is easy and has every store you could possibly need. I loved going to Charleston though. Hx, quaint, no skyscrapers, kind of transported back in time. Horse drawn carriages, house tours. There is a lot happening. I will certainly come back. We are starting to think about moving here. We were only at 342C for three days and had to move to another place but the view here was far superior and being close to the action was great. My family had an unimaginable time. Don't need to imagine it, I guess, cuz we lived it.

With so many places to choose from...

I'm so glad we picked this one. On arrival - surprise! our unit had JUST been totally redone - everything was brand new and the upgrades were first class. New floors, walls, bathroom, appliances, fixtures, lighting, bedding - everything worked perfectly! The location couldn't have been better, third floor with balcony where we could enjoy the sunrises and then relax in cool breezes in the afternoon and evening. And of course we could check in with the office using the complimentary wifi. Just steps to the beach, which ran on in each direction for miles. Not too crowded, especially on weekdays. And a crystal clear, clean pool for those that prefer fresh water. And a ton of things to do in and around Charleston, which is just a few minutes drive. Lots of local restaurants on the island, fresh food at the local grocers, we couldn't have asked for more. Except maybe.... be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs, no elevators here.

Location, location, location!

Sea Cabins is right on the beach, which is its biggest asset. It is within walking distance of several good places to eat and close to a grocery store and some touristy shops. There are nice amenities onsite. Our unit was a bit dated and needs some upgrades but overall was a nice place to spend the week.
