Want to get away from it all? Then black Bear Overlook is the place for you. Step out onto one of the cabin’s 3 covered decks—there’s one for each floor, each spanning the width of the home and offering awesome views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Bring a beverage and kick back on one of the rocking chairs and just relax. Or better yet, head up to the top deck and watch the sunset over the mountains while soaking in the hot tub. Now this is what a Smoky Mountain vacation is all about!
The fun starts in Black Bear Overlook’s game room, here you can choose between shooting pool at the full-size billiard table or playing foosball. If you’re more of a spectator, head to the home theater, settle back in one of the cinema-style seats, and watch a movie on the large flat-screen TV.
A wall of windows on the main floor lets you take in all the Smokies have to offer. Stretch out on the sofa to watch TV, curl up on the settee with your tablet to take advantage of the private Wi-Fi, or gather by the stone-faced fireplace. The queen size sofa opens into a bed for 2, enabling Black Bear Overlook to sleep up to 12 guests.
Black Bear Overlook includes a fully equipped kitchen. From a full-size oven for cooking a holiday turkey to a blender for making margaritas or milkshakes, you’ll find all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need. Sit at the dining table for your family meal or take it outside to the picnic table and enjoy the fresh mountain air and the view.
There is one king master suite on the main level with a flat-screen TV, and a full bathroom, as well as loft with a king bed with full bathroom, making the cabin well suited for 2 couples or families vacationing together. The loft suite includes a Jacuzzi in its bathroom. A ladder in the suite leads to a sleeping loft that can accommodate another 2 people.
The extra bedding is just off the game room, with a set of queen-size bunk beds, this space can sleep 4 people. If there are kids in your group, we’re sure they’ll volunteer to make this their bedroom.
With black Bear Overlook being just minutes to downtown Pigeon Forge makes it the perfect vacation spot. Head into Pigeon Forge and enjoy some shopping therapy, or take in one of the # 1 rated dinner shows like Dolly’s Stampede. Ride the roller coasters at Dollywood or enjoy the shows they have to offer. With go kart tracks and game rooms the kids will never get bored.
Ready for the ocean to come to the mountains, head over to Gatlinburg and see Ripley’s aquarium and the underwater tunnel. If you like handmade arts and crafts, head over to the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community, an 8-mile loop featuring artists you can visit with, see their craft and purchase memorable keepsakes. Love nature and history, Cades Cove is a great place to visit. The 11 mile loop will take you on a tour of some of the original homes and churches of the original settlers of Gatlinburg. Maybe have a picnic and see some of nature’s beautiful wildlife.
No Matter the preference, there is something for everyone here in the Smoky Mountains.
