A Week Full of Memories

Excellent cabin with private baths for all 6 bedrooms and great furnishings. Outstanding kitchen. Great view.

Cabin OK

Cabin was ok. Needed some updates like the rocking chairs and furniture on the main level and the carpet could have used some cleaning. One of our guests fell on the front porch due the leaning stairs and had to fill out an incident report. The maintenance man came over to fix it but it didn't make much difference the steps were still hazardous. Please be careful when climbing the front porch. However, the view was great! Just watch out for bears when visiting!

Majestic Sunrise is a nice place. Not crowded the the cabin next door. The view of the mountains was beautiful and my wife and daughter enjoyed the quiet balcony in the morning. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub in the afternoon and evening. Access to the national park through Metcalf Bottoms was convenient for a family of hikers.

A bit of a steep climb to drive up so if you aren't accustomed to driving in the mountains go slow. Roads are paved, just very steep and windy. The cabin was absolutely breathtaking. Plenty of room for us and our guests and everyone was comfortable. Views are outstanding and we saw bears almost every day we were there. Proximity to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is appropriate. You can hang at the cabin and stay away from the tourist traps or go into either town with a 20-30 minute drive. Either way, a great base for your vacation!

Beautiful cabin in the Smokies

We stayed in the Majestic Sunrise for a family reunion. The cabin is quite large and very beautiful. The living area is a bit small for such a large cabin, but with 3 floors there is plenty of room to spread out. Each floor has its own spacious balcony overlooking the mountains. The kids loved watching movies in the media room and playing air hockey and pool upstairs. The 4 suite bedrooms were beautiful. The only negative thing is that the only bathrooms on the main floor are in the two bedrooms- so guests not staying in the cabin (and we had many since our reunion was a total of 54 people in other cabins) have to go upstairs or downstairs to use the bathroom. It is a little tricky to find it- the road up to the resort is very steep and winding- I wouldn't recommend driving it at night. It is a strenuous hike to the pool- or you can drive up to it. Do be careful though- my husband was stung by a wasp at the pool. The pool does close early in the evening because of the local wildlife. But all in all the Majestic Sunrise is a beautiful cabin for a family to spend time enjoying the Smokies.

very nice view and location

We stayed here with about 13ppl group. Very easy to locate and in safe surrounding. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to others. Pros- View, three balconies in each floor, view from two bedrooms on third floor, good parking, resort signs are clearly marked, wifi, big four bedrooms, Cons- carpets looks too old, old projector (no HDMI), little smaller dining table for party of 13, no bathrooms in top two bedrooms on third floor. (one outside, shared), pool table and air hockey table are too old and need better replacement. Sofa in projector room is not good. sofa bed is joke, make arrangement for person who is not sleeping in bedroom no gas grill
